In 2016 I stepped away from YouTube at the height of my career. I'd built my health and fitness channel (LeanSecrets) to over 500k, then I pulled a Dave Chapelle 😎 *without the drugs*.

By that point my business had grown to such a degree that I could afford to take time away from YouTube. So I did that....for about 6 year hahah.

What started as a "quick little break" turned into a 6 year sabbatical. I was still selling my courses and programs. But I didn't post ANY new videos for years.

Truth be told, I spent much of those 6 years in remote places, having no idea what was happening to my YouTube channel...unsure if I was ever going to post again.

I basically followed my bliss...which is learning new things and getting new certifications. I learned and learned and learned my ass off. It was quite an adventure.

Eventually, my cup was so full and overflowing, and I felt the pull to get back onto YouTube and teach.

What Happens When a Popular YouTuber Quits

When I felt the pull to get back onto YouTube and teach again, my channel was more or less dead.

My subscriber number went from over 500k down to below 300k (I lost around 200k subscribers). And the subscribers I DID have were obviously cold since they hadn't seen my face in SIX FREAKIN' YEARS.

None of this worried me though because I know the YouTube and online business game like the back of my hand. YouTube is SIMPLE when you understand how it works.

Step 1 - Be Honest With Yourself and Your Audience

I've learned that being RADICALLY HONEST with yourself and your audience is a HUGE profit driver.

Be honest with yourself. If you want to talk about something...talk about it! If you want to explore a certain topic on your channel, EXPLORE IT!

One of the BEST things I've done to revive my channel and grow my business is to honor my soul's wisdom. I no longer wanted to be a "health and fitness" personality. I wanted to teach business and spirituality.

So I took the leap...and made a declaration of clarity in THIS VIDEO & POST👇

This video was me telling my audience "Listen...this channel is NOT a health and fitness channel anymore. Please unsubscribe if that's what you're here for." hahahah.

The results of this decision has been nothing but positive outcome after positive outcome.

When you follow your authentic calling, the Divine Beloved REJOICES. The path is made smooth, and you save yourself the hassle of trying to play twister with your life's work.

In short 👉 Only make content you're passionate about. And be very direct and clear with your audience

Step 2 - Choose a Transformation and Then STICK TO IT!

What is the transformation you're offering your audience? Be very clear on the outcome you're intending to deliver.

It's not up to you if people actually follow through with your teachings...but it IS up to you to be VERY CLEAR about what your intentions are. ​

​✍️ WHAT IS THE INTENDED TRANSFORMATION YOUR CHANNEL AND BUSINESS WILL DELIVER YOUR FUTURE CUSTOMERS? ✍️

Write this down with a GIANT sharpie...then hang it on your wall.

When you do this, I promise you....YOU WILL STAND OUT LIKE THE DIAMOND YOU ARE, and the subscribers (and profits) will come pouring in. ​

There is not another YouTube strategy in the UNIVERSE that works better than the power of clear intention.

Step 3 - Start Posting ASAP. Ship, Ship, Ship, Ship, Ship

With that intention in mind, start posting content that honors the intended transformation.

Good enough is better than perfect.

You find clarity through action, and you gain subscribers buy POSTING VIDEOS 😎
