In the world of online business, most people make the following mistakes.

You don’t actually need to spend tons of time every day “working really hard” to grow your business.

In fact, working really hard won’t make us more money if we don’t have the special sauce that ACTUALLY makes us money.

After 16 years of online business, I’ve learned that PREMISE is the special sauce. A solid PREMISE is what can double your profits….with LESS work.

What is PREMISE?

Premise = The point of the thing.

Typically the word “premise” applies to stories and movies. It's what makes people WANT to watch a show.

But if you want to grow your profits, you can use the art of Premise in your ENTIRE BUSINESS.

You do this by using the angle of non-fiction premise

Always remember....

Solid Premise = Solid Profits

Here’s exactly how to use PREMISE

Step 1 - Ask “What is the FELT PROBLEM I am helping them solve?”

In other words, think about the problems THEY are feeling, and KNOW they have -If you consider this, you’re already doing better than 99% of your competition

Step 2 - Ask “Who is this serving?”​
​Many business owners create content out of anxiety they aren’t doing enough. This sort of content is only serving the business owner.
​(This is what most instagram posts are btw) ​
​
​A solid premise is serving one person…and that’s your hero (customer)

Step 3 - Ask “What is the argument?”
​This counters their belief or problem​
​For example, if you're posting a video about healing anxiety, your argument might be "you can heal anxiety without medication..here's how!"

Step 4 - Ask “What is the solution?”
A key solution delivered in any way that makes sense.
This might be a meditation, a talking head video, a mini-series, an in-person retreat etc etc.

NOTE: A solid premise probably won’t serve everyone. That's actually a good thing!

How I Use Premise

I get an idea...then I use the steps I covered in this email...then I do a gut check and create it.

I use the PREMISE filter for every little aspect of my business.

✨ What is the “premise” of this email?
✨ What is the “premise” of this offer?
✨ What is the “premise” of this video?

If you have a solid, clear, and relevant premise that YOUR CUSTOMER ACTUALLY WANTS, you have yourself a solid business.

✨ The emails get opened
✨ The offers sell themselves
✨ The videos get watched.

This is a tiny shift that will catapult your profits into orbit if you really take this in.
