I've been in this game for over 16 years.

And in those years, I've seen a TON of "business teachers" who have never owned a business offer advice on how to grow your business.

What most of them tell you is...basically...."do a bunch of things!!!!!"

They're giving you an insane list of busy work, and ways to "blow up online"....and as you can see....the results are, well, not great.

A recent client told me one of these coaches had her send 100 cold DMs every day 😵‍💫. This coach told her "you're not allowed to do anything else." Guess how that worked out. Yikes!

My theory...business coaches need the smoke and mirrors

I believe the frenetic advice from online "business experts" comes from two places:

1. They need content. Plain and simple.
   ​
2. When you pay a one of these coaches, they want to keep you very busy doing things in the hope that one of these methods will work.
   ​
   ​Like, of course if you DM 300 people, 1 of them might say yes.....but is that REALLY the business model we want to start with? Is that how you want to spend the first year of your business? Spamming people and crossing our fingers? I think it's silly, but that's just me.
   ​
3. A broken clock is right twice. And when you're given a literal pile of work to fill your calendar...of COURSE one or two sales might come in.
   ​
   ​And the business teacher gets to say "Ta DAAAA! ✨ I'm a genius!"

Profits Increase By Doing LESS.
Keep it Simple.

Look. I've worked with some incredible business coaches. And there ARE really fantastic business teachers out there.

And if you look closely, great business teachers all have two things in common.

1. They have owned business before (that didn't involve teaching business)
2. They keep things VERY SIMPLE. Good business is SIMPLE.

My mentors were all VERY simple in their approach. Top performing businesses are VERY simple in what they focus on.

SIMPLICITY IS CRUCIAL FOR PROFITS & GROWTH.

My Simple "Model" for Consistent Profits & Empty Calendar

Let me give you an overview of how I run things:

1. I have never taken a sales call in 16 years.
2. I don't use ads. Nothing wrong with them, I've just never needed them!
3. I don't have free groups or communities. Those require ADMIN, and you're giving yourself a part time job with them. Not to mention training your customers to expect FREE COACHING (again, YIKES).
4. I do not have a bunch of complicated funnels to manage and tinker with.
5. I don't post on instagram, check the hearts on instagram, check my inbox on instagram etc (aside from telling people to get off of instagram)
6. I don't spend two hours of my day cold DM-ing people (I'd rather be doing literally anything else)
7. I don't spend hours in ChatGPT for the sake of not "getting left behind" *cue business coach selling a Don't-Get-Left-Behind-I-Swear-AI-Will-Make-You-A-Millionaire Course lol

What's left when we get rid of all the busy work? A profitable business & an empty calendar.

What's left is my simple business model, that focuses on what ACTUALLY drives sales.

For my business, I love YouTube, podcasts, and email. Why? Because they are ACTUALLY helpful to my customers.

When your content ACTUALLY shows your customers who you are, and how you can ACTUALLY help them, they will want YOU 🫵 to help them.
